Looking for a great family or youth group activity on Memorial Day? The 4th annual Miles of Hope ride is a fun way for riders and walkers to give back to Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center. There will be a fun walk or ride along the Polk County portion of the Silver Comet Trail or a 10, 20, 30, or NEW 55 mile road option for long distance cyclists. A celebratory post-ride lunch will be at Congregational Holiness Church.

Registration fee is a donation of your choice with 100% of the proceeds used to provide the therapy that the children at MHCC need to heal and thrive. Your donation of $20+ includes a T-shirt and the knowledge that you are helping some great kids!


Registration Deadline for guaranteed shirt: May 20, 2017

Please email Julie at julie@cycletherapy.us with your shirt size (adult sizes S-XXXL). If you would like to pre-order additional shirts, please indicate those sizes as well. Pre-ordered shirts will be $10 payable at the ride.

There’s no place like Rome for the 27th annual Up the Creek Trail and Century Ride on Saturday, April 29, 2017. The ride leaves from The Forum in downtown Rome and heads north to the scenic roads and hills of NW Georgia. For those who want a shorter distance, enjoy a 5-mile family scavenger hunt ride along Rome’s scenic Heritage Trail system (multi-use paved path), sponsored by Harbin Clinic.

Ride distances: 5-mile family trail ride, 32, 53, 71, 81, 104, 109 road options.

Proceeds benefit TRED (Trails for Recreation and Economic Development) efforts to build and maintain trails in Rome and Floyd County.

0 Save the Date for the 26th Annual Up the Creek Trail and Bike Ride

April 30, 2016SAVE THE DATE!  Saturday, April 30, 2016 for the 26th Annual Up the Creek Ride. There’s no place like Rome for the best ride of the spring.  The ride will again leave downtown Rome at the Forum and wind through the beautiful and rolling hills of Northwest Georgia.  There will again be post-ride lunch tokens to be redeemed at participating downtown restaurants.  New this year will be a 13.5 mile trail ride for families.

Online registration will be live on December 1.  Watch for details.

Up the Creek is presented by TRED and Coosa Valley Cycling Association.
